RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+) are FDA-approved to smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. RADIESSE (+) is also FDA-approved to improve moderate to severe loss of jawline contour in adults over the age of 21.

RADIESSE® is also used for correcting volume loss in the back of the hands. Do not use RADIESSE and RADIESSE (+) if you have severe allergies with anaphylaxis, known hypersensitivity to any of the components, bleeding disorders, or a known hypersensitivity to lidocaine or anesthetics of the amide type. Delayed-onset inflammation at the site of injection following illness, infection, vaccinations, or dental procedures is a known side effect of dermal fillers.

Common side effects seen in clinical studies of RADIESSE or RADIESSE (+) include bruising, redness, swelling, pain, itching, lumps/bumps at site of injection, difficulty chewing and other local side effects. 1. Some lift and fullness will be immediate, while longer-term volume from collagen stimulation may be visible in as little as 4 weeks. For optimal results, FACE recommends 3 sessions over the course of 3-4 months, with final results 6 months after your final treatment. ​

2. One of the benefits of Radiesse, especially when compared to other biostuimulatory fillers, is that you will see some immediate changes. The gel carrier that houses the calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres provides instant lift and fullness. As the CaHA stimulates collagen regrowth, your results will continue to improve over time, with complete results visible 6 months following your final session.  

​In most clinical trials, Radiesse lasts around 12 months. Some studies have reported results with longevity between 12 and 18 months, with the longest being up to 24 months. and the lowest being 6 months. These variations are likely due to the subjective criteria used to determine the life of the product.
